Basic structures
- [A] wa [B] desu. = [A] is/are [B].
ex. Kore wa keitai desu. (kore = this, keitai = cell-phone) - Q: Kore wa nan desu ka.(nan = what, ka = question marker)
A: Kore wa keitai desu. or Sore wa keitai desu. (sore = that) - Kore wa keitai no keesu desu. (no = ’s; possessive particle; belonging to, keesu= case)
- Kore wa watashi no keitai desu. (watashi = I, watashi no ... = my ...)
